To Strive, To Seek, To Find
Much has been taken, drained from me
the last months have rendered me weak;
often I rise defeated
not wanting the day
not wanting the day
and then the words of Tennyson....
Tho’ much is taken, much abides; and tho’
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.
......and so I rise to face the day
Come what may
Come what may

Lovely, and so true, be well sweet girl.
ReplyDeleteQuite beautiful and powerful. Good luck. P xx
ReplyDeleteYou continue to sound so strong, that's admirable :) And it's interesting to see the switch from burst-of-emotional-release-seeking-woman to a more stable source of joy. I think that the latter was more consistently present during your life and the former before/during the divorce.
ReplyDeleteI think that I've been watching the slow disappearance of your energy these past months but I didn't understand it at first and that's why I was surprised when you told me you didn't feel like you identified to the dark muse mask :) It's an interesting evolution.
And I am so confused after re-reading your poetry section that I'm almost falling in love again. The Rainman definitely is a lucky man. You have a fantastic body that comes with a deliciously complex mind that can feel SO many different emotions at so many different levels of intensity... You are an emotional piano which deserves to be taken care of because of the various and unique universes you can create.
Alas, life has literally drained you lately even if it sounds like you're definitely on the rebound :)
Big hug, good luck and good day Charli !
And how do you feel now ? :)
